Fox River Bike Trail & Fabyan Forest Preserve
This beautiful trail follows along the banks of the Fox River almost 30 miles in Kane County alone. Its smooth surface makes it ideal for biking, hiking, cross-country skiing and jogging. The trail has access to the Fabyan Forest Preserve along the Fox River that offers excellent fishing, canoeing, picturesque picnic facilities, a Nature Center, the museum and Villa estate modernized by Frank Lloyd Wright, Japanese Garden and an 1850s windmill. Genevas Christmas Walk & House Tour

A special holiday tradition to ring in the season, the Christmas Walk begins with local choirs singing carols as the Great Tree on the Courthouse lawn is lit with twinkling lights and chestnuts roast over open fires. At 6:00 Friday evening Santa Lucia is brought by horse-drawn carriage to offer Swedish cookies to merrymakers, Santa Claus arrives to begin his visits with the children, and the first candy cane of the season is presented to the Mayor. Distinctive homes aglow with holiday decorations by local decorators open their doors on Friday and Saturday to welcome visitors on this popular seasonal House Tour; admission fee to view houses.
