Biking Trails
Busse Woods
This Class I bicycle trail winds through the meadows and forests around Busse Lake. Stop at one of the convenient parking areas then unload your bicycle and ride the winding trail through the preserve. The bicycle trail winds through the forests and meadows around Busse Lake providing access to many of the preserves unique features. You can ride through a mature forest past a herd of elk, then head for the lake to watch the sailboats for a while. If you have your gear along, try catching a northern pike at one of the six fishing walls. Area: Woodfield Chicago Northwest. Type: Biking Trail.

Deer Grove Forest Preserve
This bicycle trail winds through meadows and forests. The Deer Grove Bicycle Trail links with the Palatine Bicycle Trail at Quentin and Dundee Roads offering extended bicycling opportunities. Access to the trail can be gained at both Deer Grove West and Deer Grove East parking facilities. Trails consist of rolling upland forest interspersed with wooded ravines and wetlands. Picturesque creeks meander through this tract, feeding the two lakes located within the preserve. The Deer Grove Bicycle Trail winds its way through these forests, past Camp Reinberg, providing access to picnic areas located in Deer Grove East. There is also a multi-use trail system with an unpaved trail designated for bicyclists, equestrians, and hikers. Area: Woodfield Chicago Northwest. Type: Biking Trail.

Village of Schaumburg
Enjoy 85 miles of connecting bikeways throughout the community, including on-street lanes and off street paths. Other amenities include bicycle lockers at the Schaumburg Commuter Rail Station and bike racks at public buildings. The village also requires all retail and office spaces to provide bicycle parking facilities. The community even has a force of bicycle safety patrol officers and sworn bicycle officers to monitor neighborhood & community safety. Call for a complete trail map.
